Channa,Ruby and the little deckies

Channa has been going to sea for almost 20 years, initially on fishing vessels on the Great Barrier Reef and later on charter vessels in Indonesian and the Med. He is a keen surfer and lover of water sports, also a great chef.

Channa's wife Ruby has joined Channa in many of his seafaring adventures, sailing from Indonesia to Thailand and back, cooking on surfcharters in Indonesia and hostessing in the Med on a luxury holiday charter boat. They have spent 8 years as a family living and doing business in Indonesia.

Shaanti ( 9) Mahlia (6) and Sunny (5) make up the family. They will be living on board, being part of all the action!


Richard and Johanna Wallace

Richard and Johanna joined LEAP after spending the past two years teaching English and Drama in Hong Kong. Rich and Jo spent 8 months in Nias with us in 2005 and 2006. They are now based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland where they distribute Sococo Products.

Cookie, Annie and Family.

Cookie and Annie are owners of Indo Jiwa. They oversaw the building of the vessel in ’95 and have managed the boat ever since. They have lived in Bali with their two children for the past 10 years, being involved in various development and business ventures. Cookie is a driving force behind the Leap Vision.




Matt and Reni
Matt and Reni are our logistics managers. Matt is from Hilimaeto village on the hill above Sorake bay in Nias. Reni is from Bukittinggi in West Sumatra. They were married in 2006 and are now based in Medan where they manage Sumatera Oil and Leap's logistics.
